3very nice design, poor manufacture makes it very difficult to assemble
By TXgardener
It's finally together and we really like it in our kitchen. Unfortunately it was a nightmare to assemble because pre-drilled holes were not always correctly positioned, many threaded inserts were damaged, some dowel pins were missing, the hinged door fit is terrible and the instructions leave out a few details or suggest the wrong screws in a few cases.Additional tools needed included a 1/4-28 tap to repair threaded inserts, a rubber mallet to nudge panels together when holes were slightly off, a 1/4" drill when holes were quite a bit off, a vice and hammer to reshape door hinges when doors did not align. In addition, the black paint is weak and the surface prep before it was painted was poor leading to a fragile coat that is very easily chipped. The leveling feet are a joke, being slotted on the bottom, you must raise the heavy cabinet a lot or lay it on the side to turn the adjusters. A typical hex shaped foot would be so much better.

3Nice components but assembly is no joke
By techguy
The individual pieces and components are of good quality and once assembled it does look quite nice. But the other reviewers aren't lying about the assembly. It was very difficult and I think the manufacturer should probably spend some time trying to assemble it themselves to work out all of the kinks.- The cam bolts are too large for the predrilled holes, have to widen with a knife or screwdriver- The pieces often don't line up and have to be forced- The predrilled holes for the cam screws were often very crooked, had to force them in straight.- The hinges for the cabinet doors did not fit easily together, had to use a mallet- The cabinet doors do not hang evenly (one of our magnet catches was bad also, we replaced it ourselves)- The L brackets that reinforce the corners don't sit flush with the sides so you have to be careful about tightness of the screws- The drawers do not sit evenly, I had to predrill and rescrew a lot of the pre-assembly to line things up- There are uneven gaps in various placesIt feels like some of the pre-assembly that was done (attaching the drawer rails, cabinet door magnets, predrilled holes, etc) was very sloppy. Plan on it taking a few hours and you will need more than a screwdriver. All that said, the unit looks sharp once you get it put together. The top is solid wood and finished nicely and the price is pretty good compared to other vendors and sites. The combination of high quality parts and pieces and needlessly complex assembly makes it hard to recommend for everybody though.

5Lovely furniture, Real wood, Very complex assembly.
By marcoislandmom
Now that the unit is complete, we can say, what a wonderful buy and great value. This is made from real wood (rubberwood, which is a sustainable hardwood which has nice grain pattern). However although my husband is very skilled, the assembly was very complex and took considerably time (13 hours). It required required problem solving for a few components that did not align well. It also took two sets of hands on to complete some of the assembly. Even the drawers needed to be assembled. Few components passed without work. Even with this negative, if you feel you have the skill, you will own a $2,000 plus great looking china hutch for a fraction of the cost from most furniture stores.
