The Milano Kitchen Cart makes a smart and stylish addition to your kitchen and is well-equipped to be a real asset when you're cooking. The stainless steel top is an ideal surface for food preparation because it is non-porous durable and easy-to-clean. A drop leaf will add an additional 12 inches of working space to the counter-top and it's also convenient for use as a breakfast bar or a buffet. The leaf is supported by a swing-out arm so it doesn't get in the way of foot-space and the backside of the cart is fully finished so it always looks great from every angle. Included with your purchase is your choice of white finished wood or stainless steel hardware. You decide which looks best in your kitchen. Also included is a set of stationary wood legs or four rolling casters two of which lock for security. Two utility drawers are the perfect spot for storing spices sauces or cooking utensils. There are three cabinets with a remarkable amount of storage space. The center double-door cabinet will hold lots of pots and pans and you can easily fit cooking sheets bowls and more in each of the side cabinets. All three feature adjustable shelves so you can make them work for you. Clean-ups are never a problem thanks to the built-in towel bar that keeps your towel in easy reach. This island is a huge win. It looks good, is good quality, and was even easy to assemble thanks to clear instructions and well-made parts. Everyone who sees it assumes it's just part of our kitchen from the beginning.I just wish there were more shelves inside, but nothing that a trip to the Container Store can't fix.

I love the way the kitchen island looks now that it's complete, but potential buyers should be aware that it is completely disassembled. Though the instructions say you only need manual flat head and phillips screwdrivers, I found that I didn't have enough strength to get all the screws tight enough. I had to borrow my neighbor's power screwdriver. Also, a small additional wrench is included in the materials, but the quality was not good and it was of no use before the project was completed (back to my neighbor's tool shed!). The instructions are easy to follow, but again, please be aware that it probably will take more time to complete than the ad indicates. If you don't have a lot of woodworking skills, you may want to consider another product. It took me a full weekend, including help from my woodworker brother, neighbor, and a couple calls to the manufacturer.
