We have an eat-in kitchen that is smaller than we'd like, and a shortage of counter/work space as well. Recently, we removed our large family table and replaced it with a smaller round table so we finally had room to put some sort of cart or portable island. We looked at many possibilities on Amazon and elsewhere, carefully read the reviews, and decided on this cart, and we are very glad we did. We had originally intended to spend about $200, but we believe the extra money we spent on the Oasis Concepts Cart was well worth it. This is a solid piece, weighing nearly 70 pounds, and is a solid-wood and stainless construction. We didn't want to put the money into a John Boos cart, but can't imagine how a similar construction Boos cart would be sturdier than this Oasis Concepts cart, for about half the money.There is no assembly whatsoever. Even the castors are attached already. All we had to do was unfold it and roll it into our kitchen. The packaging was superior to much of the packaging we've seen and so nothing was nicked or damaged. It fits perfectly along one wall and can be rolled out to increase our work space dramatically. It's also at a perfect height for chopping and other food preparation. The wheels lock into place to limit movement when in use. The open shelves are perfect to store small appliances, colanders, and other items for quick access. It is very easy to fold up and slip into a storage closet, but we anticipate that we'll keep it out.

Opened easily from folded shipping position, sturdy, good looking and functioning great as extra counter space or as a rolling serving cart. Could be easily folded for easy storage but in my case, it never gets folded as it has become indispensable.

I needed more counter space. There wasn't a lot of space in my apartment, so I needed to be able to stow it out of the way when not cooking a meal that needed that. This unit eaasily folds flat and unfolds easily. Seems to be a solid well designed cart.Haven't used it to cook but hardwood top looks great.Box was well padded and cart arrived with no mars. Shipping box was a bit to heavy and awkward for me to lug up the stairs without help.
