I love this island! It has the perfect dimensions, look, and functionality. This piece is heavy and sturdy.My husband, despite his vocation of carpenter, detests "assembling" things. However, when I walked into the kitchen yesterday, he said, "This thing is well made! It makes sense." I've read other reviews which stated it took four hours for three people to assemble, but it took he and my 7 and 5 year old just under two hours!I was disappointed at the cost for shipping, but decided it was still less expensive than any comparable item I've seen.No regrets!

This cart is wonderful for our needs. The counter top is made of a very nice, stylish looking granite and its high quality. Unfortunately some of the parts of the cart itself are made of particle board, but the drawers and cabinet door are wood. You have to be careful assembling it because the particle board can crack easily, but if you take a little bit of time and care (it took us about 2 hours to do it), it looks gorgeous. The wine glass racks are very nice (though note that if you have long stemware, you won't be able to fit a bottle of wine underneath). All in all a great product and value.
