This Kitchen Island has a large top drawer with two large, lower drawers with full extension glides. It comes with enormous drawer storage as well as enclosed cabinet storage. The Drop leaf almost doubles the work surface. It has two towel bars, locking casters, and adjustable interior shelf and solid wood doors, drawer, braces and top. The Island comes with warp-resistant hardwood veneer side and back panels, nickel-plated hardware and an oiled finish. It is made from sustainably harvested wood, and ready to assemble.

We replaced a cheaply made island that was table height (who does that?). This package arrived on time and with complete instructions. (After we ordered the first unit I saw a negative comment about this same item not having instructions,etc., so we were really apprehensive. For no reason, it turns out. Ours came with complete instructions.The wood is an oiled finish that we were going to paint but we like the natural look so well, we're not going to paint it black. One caveat though. This unit is rather shallow... this is why we ordered a second unit. I think the finished measurement is 16" deep and we needed at least 30" deep, so two units back to back will work very, very nicely. (Thanks for the free shipping Amazon!)Also the drawers OPEN full length. WONDERFUL. Yes, we like this unit a lot.

Very disappointed with this product. I always try to purchase products that are made in the USA and I am willing to pay extra to keep my money in the US. This product uses particleboard for key components just like the cheep imports, was missing hardware and the instructions were poorly written. Same issues I have experienced with the imported furniture in a box I have purchased from discount stores. It would have only cost a few dollars more to use plywood and a little better QC to have a quality product.

The island arrived quickly and in good condition. I was able to assemble it myself except for one or two points when it needed to be repositioned during construction and I didn't want to risk warping something. I'm impressed how solid the final product seems-just wish it was a little wider and deeper.
