This was very easy to put together my friend and I put most of it together ourselves in less than 2 hours... just needed help from husband to place the big solid oak top. The stools were also very easy to put together and are very solid.The one delay in putting it together and my caveat (I've seen this with other comments) is that the doors did not sit quite right. Very disconcerting when you have just finished taking it out of the huge amount of packaging and being so near finished... to have one of the doors fit TOTALLY wrong. I read comments about bending the hinges etc. but luckily my friend's husband came up with a less drastic solution that happened to work in our case. After examining the situation, he determined the hinges didn't have enough room to move correctly. He took two metal washers and stuck them between the island and the door hinge. IT WORKED! I looks great!Despite this issue. I am very happy with the product.

This was my first furniture purchase on amazon and I'd do it again. Gorgeous piece of furniture , never loved my kitchen more. Excellent packaging and shipping and put together looks phenomenal. Great detail. Just stunning.

We got kitchen island and had it together in about 3 hours, it is a two person project but very simple after laying out all the pieces. very pleased with quality of workmanship of furniture. Have had many comments about style and how well it goes with kitchen.
