This product really sucks! I could't resist the juvenile pun. Recently installed one of these as a replacement for an older vac unit that bit the dust. 4,000 square foot home with 5 inlets. Works great. Plenty of suction power, easy to install and easy to empty. Great price too. Two thumbs up for a mid range central vac unit.

This machine can really suck the dirt and dust out of places our uprights have missed for 17 years. And, it is super quiet; even when you are standing next to it. Unlike some of the other reviewers; my box and contents were intact. I got a users manual, a "T" fitting and a utility port to install for the garage. The muffler, and the all fittings to attach it. My house had all the piping and wiring installed when it was built, so all I need to do was buy some pipe and a couple of elbows to connect it. One thing I found out from the company that supplied the pipe is that the inlet port can be twisted off, and switched to the opposite side. That's not in the user's manual, but it should be. It can save some awkwardness in the final connection for some spaces. If you don't have a central vacuum, you should plan for one in your future. They are awesome!
