Catskill Craftsmen has become the nation's leading manufacturer of ready-to-assemble domestic hardwood kitchen islands, carts, and work-centers. Catskill Craftsmen manufactured items are made from naturally self-sustaining, non-endangered North American hardwoods, primarily Northern Yellow Birch. Lumber is purchased from area sawmills, then dried, manufactured, and packaged on site. All sawdust, shavings and waste materials generated during the manufacturing process is converted into wood pellet fuel, and used to heat homes. This is a classic catskill design with butcher block top and large drawer. This cart comes with a spice rack, towel bar and adjustable interior shelves. The wheels are locking caster and the hardware is nickel plated. It is made from sustainably harvested domestic hardwood, is ready to assemble and is made in the USA.

I was so excited when I found this cabinet on Amazon. I knew there was 'some' assembly required and was quite prepared for it. Little did I know that other than cutting the wood, 'complete' assembly was required! I have assembled desks and cabinets before but never have I had so much work to do. This wouldn't be bad if the instructions were clear enough for a sight-challenged person to see and understand but the pictures were small and misleading. I would have given this product 4 stars even with the assembly challenges if I would have gotten a reply back from the manufacturer with answers to my questions but not a word from them. I would NOT recommend buying anything from this company as they don't provide service to support their products.

Finished assembly last night, lovely little piece of furniture, everything as expected: looks good, went together square, plumb, and level, drawer slides easily, all the gaps are evenly spaced, wood quality is good.For my wife and I, both former machinists, assembly was easy enough, although time consuming, took probably four man/woman hours and the only tools needed were a tape measure, screwdrivers, a small hammer to tap pins in, and a small drill because we used a different spacing for the top than was pre-drilled. This unit may be physically beyond the abilities of some and does require the ability to read prints, but assembly sequence is clear and well-explained.The unit was delivered, I thought, quickly, UPS ground at super saver discount, but the two packages are heavy and the unit should be assembled at finished location if possible, moving the island up stairs would be a two-man job and awkward.If "some assembly required" is not an issue, I recommend this little island highly.

Easy to put together, just a little time consuming. Took a little over two hours. It's very good looking and sturdy and we're very happy with it. The top is prettier than I anticipated.
