This island provides the utmost functionality with it's ample preparation space featuring two storage drawers and a two door storage cabinet with two adjustable shelves. The compact eating area also has two hidden storage cabinets featuring magnetic push latches. Construction consists of a white finish over hardwood solid and engineered woods with a honey oak top and nickel hardware. Easy to assemble. Preparation counter height measures 30-1/2-inch from the floor. Measures 30-inch width by 39-1/4-inch depth by 36-1/2-inch height.

I was a bit skeptical purchasing such a large item off the internet. "Seeing" the item via measurements and photos isn't the same as in person. The closest store that had this item was over 250 miles away. I was also concerned the island would arrive damaged and I would have to return it, or pieces would be missing. Surprise! The packaging was such that every panel of the piece was undamaged. The island came in two large boxes so carefully wrapped with Styrofoam walls more than an inch thick. All the parts and pieces were there and the instructions were clear and understandable.Delivery was faster than expected as well, almost a full week ahead of the promised date.This island replaces one I purchased many years ago when we first moved into our home, the old island worked in the space, but it was time for something new. The two tier island is a much better fit for our kitchen, and has an added bonus of more storage space then our other island.

After reading a number of reviews, I was skeptical about buying this. But it was the perfect size and style for my new kitchen, so I decided to chance it. Yes, like many reviews mentioned, there are difficulties putting it together. The directions are AWFUL. So if you buy it, read ahead a few instructions and make sure you look at the pictures. They don't tell you every piece to add in writing, but they ARE in the pictures. Once I figured that out, it went better. It was very well packaged and only one piece had a tiny ding. The drawer slides that come preinstalled were installed wrong and I had to fix them. In the drawer opening they were too low. On the drawers themselves they were put on with a gap that made them too wide. Both were easy fixes, just annoying that they weren't done right. One of the 2 hidden doors under the bar area has an issue with the hinge where it won't close to the latched position, but it will stay closed thanks to the magnet in the first position (these doors are the kind without handles, so you push in to release the mechanism and they open).I have to say, now that the pain & suffering of assembly has faded, I really do love it. It looks great and feels solid. I have noticed that the counter top mars very easily though. I may have to consider applying some sort of coating to it to keep it looking nice. It gave us just the extra counter/table space we needed as well as storage space.

This cabinet met all my expectations of size and storage. It was a bit difficult to put together because they sent one left hand cabinet door and instead of a right one they sent another left. However, when I called them they were very apologetic and sent the correct one out that day..
