I had been looking for a quality kitchen island to function as an island and pantry. Trolling through the web I found quite a few various islands but for the money this one was the best deal. Nice granite counter top and decent wood components. It was quite a feat to actually assemble the whole thing! but in the end glad we chose this one. It was packaged very very well so that nothing would be broken during the shipping process.My only wish was that it came with a set of legs so you could have the option of the wheels or legs. In the end though- with the money we saved by getting this one we could get 24k gold legs :-) heheCheers

My new kitchen island was assembled today, and I love it! Assembly wasn't difficult like some reviews made it out to be. It was time consuming, but if you follow the directions it goes together fine. The island is constructed of real wood, not particleboard. There are dowels to help hold corners together since it's mobile.I do suggest, though, that you track the packages. That way you can have freshly baked cookies to entice the deliveryman into helping you get those two 100# boxes into your house. My packages sat in the garage for a couple of days.All in all, a fantastic purchase well worth the price.
